How is Ramona Express different from other car washes?

Unlike chain-driven washes, our conveyor belt technology provides a gentler, more thorough clean with no risk of damage to your vehicle. We also offer 17 individual vacuum stations and eco-friendly detergents and automatic mat washing units.

Is the wash safe for my luxury or specialty vehicle?

Absolutely. Our conveyor belt system was specifically chosen for its safety with high-end and specialty vehicles. We also use only the finest detergents and soft-touch cleaning.

Our History

OUR HISTORY Was Ramona Express formerly known as Tommy's Express?

Yes! We operated as a Tommy’s Express franchise for six years before becoming fully independent in 2025. This change allowed us to offer even better service and technology while maintaining the same convenient location and friendly staff you know.

Why did you choose to become independent rather than remain a franchise?

We wanted the freedom to select the best technologies and products without franchise limitations. This independence allows us to offer superior cleaning, better detergents, and an enhanced customer experience tailored specifically to our Montclair community.

Has ownership changed since becoming Ramona Express?

No, we’re still the same local owners who have been here since day one. Only our name and our ability to offer even better service have changed!

Membership Information

Do you offer monthly memberships?

Yes! We offer three affordable membership tiers with unlimited washes. Students, first responders, teachers and military receive 50% off monthly memberships.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes! Our memberships are month-to-month with no long-term contracts. Simply provide 30 days’ notice when you’re ready to cancel. Or use our simple phone application to manage all your subscriptions needs.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership plan?

Absolutely! You can change your membership tier at any time. Changes will take effect on your next billing date.

What happens if I'm out of town for a month? Can I pause my membership?

Yes, you can pause your membership for up to 3 months per year. Let us know next time you come to the wash or manage all your subscription needs on or simple to use phone application

Is my membership transferable to another vehicle?

Yes! You can change the vehicle registered to your membership through our app or by speaking with our staff.

How does the unlimited wash membership work? Are there any restrictions?

Your membership allows truly unlimited washes. The only restriction is that you need to wait at least 4 hours between washes on the same day.

Services and Pricing

Do you offer interior cleaning services?

While we don’t offer full interior cleaning services, we provide 17 complimentary vacuum stations for our customers. Each station is equipped with powerful vacuums and cleaning tools for your convenience. In addition there are state of the art automatic mat washing units for you convenience.

Are there any add-on services available?

Yes! We offer several add-ons including:

  • Tire Shine
  • Smart wax
  • Under body flush
  • Air Fresheners
  • Interior detail cleaning kits

Payment and Technology

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay). Membership plans are billed automatically to your credit or debit card on file.
